Azuki x Epic High: What we know so far

“We are excited to announce our partnership with the legendary Korean hip-hop trio, Epik High, to create original visual art for their upcoming show at Coachelle,” Azuki announced yesterday, April 10th. Epik High is one of the most influential hip-hop groups in Seoul, South Korea. In fact, it was Tablo, Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz who founded the band in 2001. In the past, hip-hop was less popular in South Korea than today.

“Epic High has long been a pioneer of Asian culture and was the first Korean event to take place at Coachelle in 2016,” added Azuki. “They are the first Korean act to return to the festival, and we are delighted to be able to celebrate this moment of Asian excellence through this collaboration.”

As the festival approached, the band released a new album. Their 10th studio album Epic High Is Here (Part 2) also revolves around the themes of “self-love, loneliness and self-confidence”.

Meanwhile, the Azuki NFT has been creating waves in the NFT space in recent weeks. After a surprising NFT airdrop, the price of the project floor increased (now to 22 ETH). This even leads many NFT blue-chip holders to express disappointment because the floor of their projects was not so close. The Epic High partnership has just added a feather to the Azuki envelope!
