Lego and Epic Games make Metaverse safe for children

At this point, Epic Games and Lego have not revealed details of their upcoming metaverse. However, they have issued three principles that will guide them in building a secure digital space.

They always put the safety and well-being of children in the first place. In addition, the protection of their privacy is paramount. Finally, children and adults have the tools to take control of their digital experiences.

Epic CEO and Founder Tim Sweeney said: “The Lego Group has captured the imagination of children and adults through creative play for over a century. We are excited to work together to create a fun, engaging game. A family-friendly meta version.”

“Children like to play in the digital and physical world and move smoothly between them. We believe there is great potential for them to develop lifelong skills such as creativity, collaboration and communication through digital experiences.” But we have a responsibility to make them safe, inspiring and useful for everyone, ”said Niels B Christiansen, CEO of Lego.

According to Sweeney, the metaverse is an “online playground.” It allows users to play and watch Netflix movies together. Epic said he was working on a “family-friendly” digital experience that would “enable young people to become confident creators.”
