Every New Superhero Joining 'The Boys' Season 3 and Their Powers

If you thought the Boys had enough on their plate with Homelander (Antony Starr) and the Seven, think again. There are plenty more Supes to go round.

The Boys Season 3, which premieres on Friday, June 3, introduces a host of new Supes for the eponymous group to contend with.

The show is based on the comic book by writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson, which ran for 72 issues from 2006 to 2012. Here is everything you need to know about the super-powered beings making their debut in the latest episodes.

1. Soldier Boy Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, is the original superhero. He was the poster boy for Vought International long before Homelander was around and even had his own team, named Payback.

Eric Kripke, showrunner for The Boys, told Newsweek that Ackles' character "was the very first superhero, from World War II. He was Homelander before Homelander, the most popular hero for decades—until he mysteriously vanished in the Eighties, presumed dead.

"So, when Butcher discovers that his best chance to kill Homelander is wrapped up in this Soldier Boy mystery, he begins to hunt it down, with gory results for everybody." This superhero is super-strong and bulletproof, as well as remaining eternally young.

2. Crimson Countess Crimson Countess was a member of Soldier Boy's Payback team and is played by Laurie Holden. The character has been mentioned in The Boys before, but fans will see her come to the forefront in the new season. Her powers include manipulating fire and heat, which she can create from her hands. She also has heat vision and is immune to fire.

3. Supersonic In Season 3, Miles Gaston Villanueva takes on the role of Supersonic, a new hero who is a contender to join the Seven. Supersonic already has a connection to the superhero group because he is the ex-boyfriend of Starlight (Erin Moriarty).

4. TNT Twins The TNT twins Tessa (Kristin Booth) and Tommy (Jack Doolan) were members of Payback. The duo have a shared power that they activate by holding hands. When they do so, they are able to shoot lasers from their other hands.

5. Mindstorm Mindstorm is another member of Soldier Boy's team who appears in the third season of The Boys. He is played by Ryan Blakely. As his name suggests, Mindstorm's powers center around his ability to control another person's mind.
