MLB world reacts to gross viral video of Yankees fan
The New York Yankees are not having a great month of August. The team has played incredibly poorly offensively and is riding an extended losing stretch that even has team manager Aaron Boone noticeably frustrated.
Everyone is coping with the disappointing stretch differently, but one Yankees fan seems to be taking it to the extreme with his sad snack choice.
In a video shared by Jomboy Media on Monday night, a fan in the Yankee Stadium stands for the team’s game against the New York Mets had quite the unusual way to drink his alcoholic beverage.
The fan, wearing a plaid Yankees hat, used a straw to poke a hole in the middle of his hotdog and hollow it out.
Then, in an absolutely stunning turn of events, the fan dropped his hollowed-out hotdog into his beer and sucked through it like a straw – presumably to get the taste of both the hotdog and the beer at the same time.
Naturally, the video went viral. The Major League Baseball world responded to the short clip with a variety of different reactions ranging from shock and disgust to intrigue.
It’s certainly unorthodox, but perhaps the fan is onto something. After all, the Yankees did beat the Mets 4-2,
winning back-to-back games for the first time since late July. Maybe this odd snack is a source of good luck.
